HTC Snap Smartphone Launched

HTC Snap S522HTC have unveiled the HTC Snap Standard smartphone full QWERTY at CTIA today.

the Snap will run Windows Mobile 6.1 and comes with integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, 256MB ROM/192MB RAM, a microSD/SDHC expansion slot, and 2-megapixel camera/camcorder. The smartphone measures 4.5 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.4 inch deep and has a 2.4-inch QVGA non-touch display.

Most of people are being overwhelmed by the amount of email, the HTC Snap introduces Inner Circle, an HTC innovation that makes it easy for people to prioritize messages from the most important people in their lives at the press of a button. Samsung Instinct S30 for Sprint

Samsung instinct cell phoneSamsung has launched the first official image of the Samsung Instinct S30 also known as the Samsung Instinct Mini or the Samsung M810 on Sprint.

As many of you might already know, the Samsung Instinct S30 is meant to come to Sprint’s lineup, and the handset can now be seen sporting the carrier’s logo. The company announced the phone in a press release that also showed other devices to come to the CTIA Wireless 2009 show in Las Vegas this week.

The South Korean mobile phone maker only showed photos of the handset yesterday, and now additional information has been unveiled at CTIA, yet it is already known that the Samsung Instinct S30 should sport a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, which would be bigger than the one that was included with the older Instinct.

The handset’s price will be similar to the one of the old Instinct – hence $129.99 with a 2-yr agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate. Details and Download…

AT&T leak confirms Next-Gen iPhone in June

iphone 3gReports about a future version of the iPhone are starting to show up, even though Apple itself has not even hinted that new hardware will be announced any time soon. The latest rumors says that the next version of the iPhone will have a faster wireless Internet, video capture and more.

Most reports suggest that the new iphone might support data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.

Many have speculated that the next-gen iPhone will include video capabilities based on recent clues uncovered in the 3.0 software beta. The AT&T leak even points to the fabled Netbook which is still a thing rumor.

But speed isn’t all the new iPhone will be capable of. Here’s what we can expect this summer.

Launch of Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition

Samsung tocco cell phoneSamsung has unveiled its flagship device for 2009, with the launch of the Ultra Edition Samsung Tocco.

The Ultra Edition is the successor of the Tocco launched last year, which is apparently the best selling UK contract device in the second half of 2008.

Samsung Tocco said the Ultra Edition is the first to combine an easy to use, visually stunning, full touch screen with the “daily and convenience” of a keybad 3 x 4.

The phone offers a 2.8-inch, high contrast, full touchscreen AMOLED touch with haptic technology, an 8 megapixel with dual LED flash in a slim 12.7mm body.

There are also GPS navigation, geo-tagging, 30 fps, VGA video recording, music player and HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps for high speed internet access.

The device is set to launch in the UK shops in March, but it will be showcased at this month’s Mobile World Congress event that Pocket-lint is attending.

Toshiba Targets Smartphone Market With TG01 Touch-screen

Toshiba Tg01 Touch screen cell phoneToshiba enters the smartphone market with the TG01 handset, a super-skinny full touchscreen internet phone that is also optimized for gaming, movies and music.

The physics of the device has prompted many to dub the new touchscreen iPhone killer – it’s skinnier, it has a much larger screen of 4.1 “in diameter and has Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset which means the TG01 will become the first handset to rock a 1GHz CPU powerful enough for mobile games, and graphics-rich.

The phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, Toshiba with its own 3D GUI, GPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and a touchpad.

Touch-screen functionality, it is similar to the iPhone, at a time, draging and tapping actions that can be used to navigate through the customizable interface.

The phone will be officially announced at Mobile World Congress in a few weeks and is due for release summer 2009 in Europe.
